I started this painting in the fall of 2007 using some branches from a shrub in my yard that I believe is called a "burning bush", It turns such a vibrant red every year and then a soft yellow. Unfortunately I got side-tracked, didn't paint fast enough, and all the leaves fell off both my reference, and the shrub itself! So I put it aside and waited until the fall of 2008 to finish.
