I was given the wonderful opportunity to make a gingerbread display at Linden Ponds for the holiday season. I attempted to recreate the gazebo on the grounds. I designed it at home, and it took a full 40 hour week of work to make it so. It had 108 pieces of cookie. The weight of the double roof I felt sure would make it collapse, but it survived not only the holidays but for months after in the main lobby....although someone "trimmed" the shrubs a couple of times.(they were made of mint gumdrop candy. :)
