This piece won 2nd place in the oil and acrylic catagory at the Duxbury Art Association's Midsummer show.

I bought the sugar bowl at a yard sale because I loved the hand painting on it. Then I chose the painting's colors from it, and designed the painting around it.

Lilacs are my favorite floral scent, so these lilacs (which I have to confess I "borrowed" from a neighbor's yard) were truly a joy to paint both visually, and aroma therapy wise. My studio smelled like them for days.
